Season’s Greetings, our family has had quite a busy 2009. Which was topped off by a magical vacation to Disneyland the first week of December. All five of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and without JJ, Grandpa Dan and Aunt Michelle we could have easily lost a child or two, maybe all three. We didn’t. Instead we went completely Disney. Let me introduce you to the current cast of Miller Characters-
Earl, daddy, Mickey! The work-aholic husband and daddy of the Miller’s. This daddy works, a lot. 2009 brought a winter and spring assignment for him, he went to Las Vegas and Mississippi, respectively. Not to mention his summer escapes. In the off-season he has found himself working on house project after house project—windows, insulation, roof and doors. Mickey doesn’t miss a snow day, either. Bring on the boarding season! Who’s the director of the house? M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E!
Minnie (Stephanie), Earl’s faithful girlfriend/wife and caretaker of three beautiful children. Stephanie continues to work part-time for the Oregon Judicial Department, coordinating the Alcohol & Drug Court Programs for youth and adults here in our county. Since last year, she has taken on triathlons. Yep, the swim, bike, run races! And ran a half-marathon in September. She is also teaching indoor cycling classes at the Athletic Club. Work and kids keep her busy!
Mason William, a mixture of all seven dwarfs but mostly just plain HAPPY. A little bit dopey (in a silly 5 year old way) sometimes, even more so grumpy when he is sleepy! A doc in school, yes he is a kindergartner that gets all the highest markings on his report cards. He loves to read and spell. He gets a little bit bashful when he does things for the fist time, like soccer this summer and swimming lessons, but after he warms up he is nothing but HAPPY, again! There will be no warming up to skiing this year, he is ready to hit the lift. And to set the record straight, he is never sneezy!
MaKenna Jean, the goofiest kid in the bunch. Goofy. Goofy. Funny! At barely over two and a half years old, she is the big sister and growing up quickly. Right now MaKenna likes to play with her dolls, sing in her loudest voice possible, and do anything Mason does. She asked for a baby with a su-su (pacifier) for Christmas. We could have tagged her as Maggie Simpson, always with the su-su in her mouth, but MaKenna talks…A LOT and she is dog gone sweet!
Morgann Jensen, Piglet, is 15 and a half months young. She eats a lot of food, in fact we probably spend more money on food for her then we did formula! It makes her happy, cheery and baby sister perfect, in every way. She has learned that all she has to do is point and scream for what she wants because there are 4 walkers in the house that will get it for her. By the time you receive this (hopefully before Christmas) I should be able to say, she’s a full-time walker with cheeks as pink and cute as a piggy!
We’d love to hear from you—phone (541.962.0153), email (lgmillers@verizon.net) or comment on our family blog (http://www.curlytales.blogspot.com)!
Here’s hoping this letter finds your hearts as full as ours—Merry Christmas and may you have an adventure filled 2010!
