The Way I See It:

If you must leave your family behind, you must make it a good time. Which is what I did. Dallas was great. I met some AWESOME people who made my trip well worth it. I learned new ideas for work but even more important made some new friendships. Some highlights include--PF Changs, hadn't been before, but now have had the dining experience twice. Twice because I think Lacey was having some spring roll cravings. Lacey is a very pregnant gal whom I now feel like I have known forever. A great person and thanks to her I left the hotel room on the first night and didn't have one night in! I was also able to relive my pregnancy through her the entire week. I wish her all the best with the delivery of Maggie somewhere around November 5.
My new pals and I trekked down to the sight where JFK was assassinated, no it is not a morbid thing to do! In fact I now believe that thanks to seeing that I am more interested in history then ever. And just what is the connection between JFK and Marilyn Monroe. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not she actually overdosed??
We hit up the mall multiple times. I forgot how much I miss city shopping,Babystyle and Forever 21 were my favs this time. Why is it that I spend more money on a size 6 month shirt then on a size Large shirt for me?? DART became our good friend--a very easy public transportation system to use. Oddly enough the only time we were approached on the transit was when we had some guys from Virginia with us, thankfully! Had some INCREDIBLE guacamole, the trick was to add a hint of fresh orange, YUM! The guac restaurant was so nice that when we showed up in our tennis shoes, jeans and t-shirts the waiter told us he'd find us a seat on the third floor..whatever, the view was excellent.
The diversity was neat too. I was wondering around Dallas with people from Minnesota, Montana, Georgia, Virginia, Washington State, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
As I sit here in the airport waiting for my plane, I can't stop thinking about how badly I want to see my kids. At least the people watching is good :) No E, I am not starring at anyone! I will post some Dallas pics when I get home on my own computer!
