I am only writing about this because I feel obligated. E just had a huge accomplishment, so here it goes. Last May we bought ourselves a 37" flat screen tv for our anniversary. We felt like we were getting a really sweet deal and the tv worked for oh about 5 months, great deal huh? Well it actually worked ok, but for some reason it just wouldn't turn on sometimes, no biggie. So the Sears man came to our house about 5 times to fix it and eventually recommended that we just try to get a new one because it was a lemon or whatever it is in tv world. Starting in May E began calling Protron to replace it, he was very adamant with them and on one conversation I heard him ask for the supervisor...still by the end of July we didn't have a tv on our door step as they promised. Finally he just called the repair man (they became good friends) and he got E connected to the right person and he was given some numbers last week so that we could walk into a Sears store to exchange it.
Since we aren't big fans of the Sears here in La Grande it was going to take a day off to get this done. So on his first day off in two weeks the family piled into the car and headed to Baker to see what they had in stock. We didn't put our old tv in to exchange it because we were sure they wouldn't have what we wanted. It turns out they had more then what we wanted. He ended up closing the deal with a complete upgrade, 42" plasma, at no extra charge!
So after two trips to Baker in one day, hours on the phone with Protron and making a new friend, the repair man, our tv was finally replaced. Let's just hope this one works for a long time. Way to go E!
