At 9AM we met JJ downtown. She left Toledo around 4, shopped some sales and saved us a place for the Macy's Day parade.
I'm so joyful it's the Holiday Season.
Now that we are home, it hit me. I have a lot of work to do. In a little bit of time. E leaves for a training in Redmond in less than 9 hours. But before he hits the road again we have to get a Christmas tree up and trimmed. If all goes well, maybe a strand or two of outdoor lights. Things probably won't go that good.
The bonus of living in La Grande is the abundance of parades, I love them. We happily missed the "Light Parade" this weekend to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her "husband." Calling her a wife, still rings a little odd. Certainly a good odd. And she's a good wife, at least what I noticed this weekend. A fab Aunt. We didn't miss a parade, though. Again, the marching bands didn't disappoint and seeing Santa widened six little eyes. It brought out their merry souls.
The above picture was Mason's lunch. And possibly the last time I allow her, JJ, to order for him. Or, maybe not. Considering I polished off the yummy Cheesecake Factory layered dessert. Like I've said, she'd do anything to make them smile. That, makes me smile.
While E and I finished almost ALL of our Christmas shopping (one more trip to the Tri-Cities and we will be done-we've even decided on a day we'll go) the kids hung out with Bill and Michelle. Cheesey. Eating pizza and relaxing after a long day downtown. They already can't wait to go back. In fact 20 miles from home, MaKenna said "I guess we have to go back to Michelle's." In response to some serious snow fall. Sorry MaK. We've got things to do. Time to get that Perfect Tree.
