Roasting

La Grande truly is a beautiful town. With lots and lots to offer. Earl's Dad has property with a spectacular view. It offers fresh air fun. Like hot dog roasts, bonfires, four wheeling, hiking, hunting, sledding, running, whatever. Sunday we took advantage of the fifty five degree temperature and roasted hot dogs for lunch. Accompanied with potato salad, Cheetos and apples dipped in caramel.

I love seeing him smile. Even if all he has done is work. Work. Work. House project. House project. House project. For the last hundred weekends in a row.

And he still isn't done working. After we ate our dogs the younger two kids and I left. Leaving them up there to thin. Like running a chainsaw at work all day isn't tiring enough. He will be doing it on the weekends for a while now too. A man's work might not ever be done.

Mason, crabby as ever, had the pleasure of staying up on the hill to stack. He loves spending time with his daddy. One thing both of his teachers told us during parent-teacher conferences was that he was always so worried about his dad for the first month or so of school. Yep. Both also reported he is happy, happy, happy that he is home for winter. Me too!
