The Frog Jumping Contest Friday Night. Complete with real, real big frogs. Neither of the kids cared to touch them at first but by the end of the game they both had slimy hands. I however did not.
Bright and early Saturday morning I ran the Cheddar Challenge, a 5K, with my Aunt Laju. I think I was still a little tipsy from spending so much time in the beer garden the night before, but I completed in 30:39!
Their parade which unlike La Grande, Toledo has one per year. So it draws a nice crowd of people. Right after the parade we ate free cheese sandwiches from the Presbyterian Church.
My ten year reunion! Here's a picture of myself and some of my fellow classmates. There were about 20 out of 70 1999 Toledo grads who attended. It was so nice to visit with people I haven't talked to in so long. We met at the park and continued the reunion back at the beer garden. Where there were even more T-Towners, and some Winlockers, that I grew up with.
While we were doing all of the above, Grandpa Dan completed the STP bike ride. Seattle to Portland, 204 miles total. His ride took him about 15 hours, broken up between Saturday and Sunday. Next year I plan to ride with him, even if it means skipping out on all the cheesey fun offered in Toledo that same weekend.
