Morgann Jensen Miller

It's funny. How in the blink of an eye things change. Beautiful things happen, like that. Even if you've had the most ordinary of days. Chasing two kids around a birthday party in a battery powered jeep, while as pregnant as it comes. Bike riding. A grill out at Aunt Jennifer's. That was to end for me at 9PM with a jaunt up to the hospital. Only to be sent home. Early labor, that's it.
Persistent as I am, I returned to the hospital at 11:00PM. The nurse checked me, again. Then left. Returning moments later with a dr's tray, baby cart, and advice. Her advice was simple. As soon as the doctor is here, he'll break the water and you'll have your baby. Just push and breath. No epidural or other drugs. She said don't give me that look. You can do this. I thought, not again. Give me drugs, please!
The doctor walked in around 11:30 or so. At 11:41 she entered into our world. She was 6 pounds 6.6 ounces and 20 and a half inches long. Beautiful. Precious. Perfect. In every way wonderful. I wouldn't change the experience, not any of it. Not even the crying to JJ on the phone.

*Now I'll just need to change the label to the right name.
