After two relaxing days off--chasing kids, cleaning fire gear, mowing the yard, etc-- he's off, again. And not exactly with a fun itinerary getting there. The kids and I took Earl to the Pendleton Airport this morning for his 8:15 flight to Pasco,Washington. After that he flew to Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and finally to Redding, California. Where he will be shuttled by someone to the Iron Complex Fire in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
There will be no heading to the farm for us during this dispatch. Not with these gas prices. However, after one phone call JJ decided to come down on July 18th. Her vehicle does get 48 miles per gallon. Can you say...LUCKY! And I've already started the list of items for us to do. First things first, get MaKenna in a toddler bed.
