Soccer, Soccer, Soccer

Mason wanted a soccer party for his birthday theme. I decided to go with it. And let me tell you. We had a soccer shoot off (goal and all), soccer cake, soccer hackee sacks, soccer goody bags, soccer pinata, and oh my soccer ball shaped candles. The candles were surprisingly cool. The pinata was almost unbreakable to the four year old kicks (yes, we kicked it). And as for the 12 Gatorades in the cooler, they went quicker then candy.

Yep, chinguards & cleats.

His gift from us was a Nintendo DS, that was really all that he wanted. I couldn't be happier with our decision. Not because it is occupying his every moment, but because it isn't. The kid loves to be outside. And mostly because he has randomly told me five times today, "thank you mom for getting me a DS." He couldn't get any sweeter, I'm sure of it.

In fire news, Earl has taken off on his first dispatch. Northern California, here he comes.
